Sad shins and lovely lemons.

This is what my desktop looks like right now:

Yes, I have a planner. But there is something about sticky notes that keeps me far more organized. Plus, in my planner I can’t really make lists and cross stuff off when I’m done, whereas on sticky notes, I get to cross things off :) Love that.

I’m tweaking out a little bit because it seems I’ve been biting off more than I can chew. I think all the projects I have now will fit into my schedule fine, but I don’t know if I can take on many more. The funny part is, it’s not really my school work that I worry about – it’s often projects for extra curricular things!

About my legs…

I’ve been in pain the past few days with shin splits. I totally thought I was over those guys since I’ve gotten better at running, but I guess not! I know that I need new shoes – my Asics have seen better days, and they weren’t the greatest quality to begin with – but I don’t have the extra money right now, and I refuse to believe my shoes won’t make it to April 2.

What’s April 2, you ask?

The Roommate and I are running the [local] Spring Thaw 5K run/walk!

We signed up for the race when the bloggity was down, so now you know – I’ll be running my fourth 5K in a week and a half. I’m really excited, but now getting a wee bit nervous since my legs decided to give me problems. I ran a mile WITH shin splints the other day and it was far from fun.

Yesterday after doing Level 3 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (I had to modify a few of the jumps since my shins wanted me dead) I rubbed my legs down with BioFreeze and iced the crap out of them.

Before bed they got a little stiff again, so I went back to ice. Today they feel so much better! Just a little sore through the front, but I don’t feel like pieces of bone are breaking off and floating through my bloodstream :) (This is legitimately what I imagine when I have shin splints – not only do they hurt, but I’m convinced they can kill me. Now you know why I hate them so much!)

Even though I’m not dying anymore, I don’t think it’s smart to get back on the horse…or treadmill, in my case. I’m thinking of doing either 30 Day Shred, Yoga or elliptical…or a combination. After I shower guess what I’ll be doing the rest of the night?

Spending some quality time with this beauty.

Now please excuse me while I cry tears of happiness because of what the Roommate bought me yesterday:

It is. So. Yummy.

Off to eat lunch! (just like all the other normal people who eat lunch at 3:30…)

Yay for biofreeze it does wonders! You should also try the anti-pain balm from Body Glide!!!

Some of your pictures are really, really large while others are normal size. Do you see this too?
I have chobani strawberry yogurt in my fridge right now. It’s not bad for Greek yogurt. The pineapple one was good! I need to try other flavors too.

Hahaha. Yes. I actually tweeted something about that earlier. It’s the vertical ones that are huge, which is why I usually try to do horizontal. I’ve tried making the dimensions smaller, and in the draft they are the right size, but when I publish the just go huge again. I have no idea why – I just try to stick to horizontal pics when I can. Thanks tho!
